Mark Cameron

Mark holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Calgary. After a dream job at Parks Canada and a brief stint with Canadian Airlines, he fuelled his lifelong entrepreneurial spirit as co-founder of Techneos Systems Inc., a provider of mobile survey software based in Vancouver, BC. The company was sold in 2011, when Mark took some time to reinvent himself and to write a debut novel. His new venture, Catch Our Drift Productions, blends his passions for community and sustainability with his interest in helping people and organizations reach their maximum potential.

Lee-Ann Ennis 

 Lee-Ann is involved with many community focused projects on the Sunshine Coast and is one of the main advocates and ‘drivers’ of Ruby Lake Lagoon Society's important transportation initiative: the Wood Duck Bus. She is pictured here driving the Wood Duck Bus in the May Day parade where the bus and Lagoon Society were awarded a 2nd place ribbon. 


Kelly Foley

Kelly is a marketing and communications consultant living in Gibsons who works with organizations committed to making positive change. She provides strategies that transcend convention – connecting entrepreneurs, social innovators, artists, technologists and youth with seasoned professionals. She has worked with many organizations; including Sunshine Coast Community Services Society where she was a lead manager responsible for revenue development and marketing for over 50 social service programs. Prior to this, Kelly was the Marketing Director of a successful action sports film company and has managed her own marketing and communications consulting firm for over ten years. Kelly is also an active volunteer and current member of the Sunshine Coast Homelessness Advisory Committee and the Sunshine Coast Community Foundation. 


Thomas Holmes

 Thomas is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) who deals mainly with small businesses, companies and individuals. His firm provides a range of services including: tax and estate planning; tax return preparation; year-end and financial statement preparation; accounting and bookkeeping; payroll and business advice. He also has significant experience working with non-profit organizations. Thomas provides services that are tailored to each client's needs and his specialities include: fishing, farming and logging.

Marj McDougall

Marj is an active community volunteer and transportation advocate. She has been an integral part of the Sunshine Coast Community Resource Centre board since 1996. Marj’s other volunteer work includes being part of Habitat for Humanity’s recycling team and facilitation of a monthly brain injury peer support group in honour of her late husband. She is also drawn to anything “green” and is a strong supporter of the David Suzuki Foundation as well as other environmental interests. A local resident for 27 years, Marj has recently discovered more of what the Sunshine Coast has to offer in terms of access to hiking, biking and walking trails. When not at the recreation centre partaking in aquafit or aerobics, you may find her enjoying the SC Film Society and Green films.


Lori Pratt

Lori Pratt grew up in Alberta, moving to the Sunshine Coast in 1994. She was a stay at home mom for many years, enjoying the early years of her children's development. Lori is a proud mom of three girls. She is a School Board Trustee, elected in the Pender Harbour/Egmont/Halfmoon Bay Area. Prior to being elected, Lori was an active member of the Parent Advisory Councils at Madeira Park Elementary and Pender Harbour Secondary, as well as being a contract coordinator with the Pender Harbour Community School. Lori volunteers in many aspects of her community, and is the Chair of VOICE on the Coast, an organization focused on attracting, retaining and engaging the younger generation on the Sunshine Coast. You can find Lori on Twitter @LoriAnnPratt or follow her blog.


Barrie Wilbee

Barrie lives in Pender Harbour and is a Director of the Sunshine Coast Community Foundation and of the Sunshine Coast Community Futures. Barrie is a retired businessman and active community volunteer including Pender Harbour Fire Protection District, and Sport Fishing Advisory Board. Barrier received the Don McMillan Award in 2011 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to community development.

 Linda Williams

Linda Williams  

Linda is involved in many cultural and heritage groups and works to enhance the economic vitality of the Sunshine Coast through cultural sector development and cultural tourism. Some of the local organizations she supports include: the Coast Cultural Alliance presenting the Sunshine Coast Art Crawl, Purple Banner Studio & Gallery Guide, Arts & Culture Calendar and Artesia Coffee House, the Sunshine Coast Jazz & Entertainment Society - presenting the Gibsons Landing Jazz Festival, Sunshine Coast Tourism, Sunshine Coast Arts Council. She also co-produces the Music in the Landing outdoor summer music series in Gibsons.

Marlene Cymbalist

Marlene was born and raised in Vancouver and moved to the Sunshine Coast in 1989 to raise her family. She worked at Lowe's Resort for 16 years and then helped to develop the property into Painted Boat Resort Spa & Marina, first as the Site Director and then as General Manager for four years. She worked actively with Sunshine Coast Tourism and was a board member of Vancouver Coast and Mountains. Marlene served as the co-chair for Community Future's Sustainable Opportunities Committee and is currently the Senior's Initiative Consultant for Pender Harbour

We hosted the inaugural meeting of our new Advisory Board on Nov. 28th, 2015.

Thanks to the Sunshine Coast Golf and Country Club for a wonderful dinner, outstanding service and beautiful venue. Thanks especially to our Advisors; Marj McDougall, Lee-Ann Ennis, Linda Williams, Kelly Foley, Mark Cameron, Barrie Wilbee, Thomas Holmes and Marlene Cymbalist!
